What we do

AppHolik builds SaaS and mobile applications. Two of them are ours: Sandar, a streaming home for Afghan music, and Owniva, a social exposure audit that shows people what their public profiles reveal about them.

Owning products changes how we build for other people. We've carried the cost of our own shortcuts — the rushed schema, the skipped test, the launch that went out before it was ready — so we're careful about where we let a client take one.

How we're set up

We operate from the United Arab Emirates and Canada, working across iOS, Android and the web. Teams stay small and stay on a project from discovery through to the months after launch — the people who designed it are the people who maintain it.

What we believe

• ✦Ship it, then improve it. A live product teaches you more in a week than a spec does in a month.
• ✦Say the hard thing early. If a plan won't work, you should hear it while it's still cheap to change.
• ✦Own your stack. Everything we build is yours — code, accounts, infrastructure. No lock-in.
• ✦Small teams, long runs. We'd rather do four projects properly than twelve badly.
